Samantha and Abe are best friends. They’re also kidney thieves who steal organs for a greater purpose. Samantha is a professional con artist, who uses her natural charm to steal kidneys from bad people and get them to good ones. Abe is a doctor and Samantha’s partner-in-crime who steals kidneys to fund his research to cure diabetes.
You’d think that a storyline revolving around kidney theft would be dark and serious but this audiobook had a wacky premise that was so much joy to listen to. Cut and Run is a light-hearted comedy that delivers the story through great scripting and a stellar cast that narrates the story with zest.
I really loved this audiobook. The production quality was amazing. The cast was equally amazing and had great chemistry. This audible original production was narrated by Meg Ryan, D’Arcy Carden, Sam Richardson, Rachel Bloom, Ed Begley Jr., Thomas Lennon and Eugene Cordero. What’d I tell you, stellar cast right? They really brought the script alive.
Cut and Run has no complex storyline, no deep character development, no major plot twist. Just two hours and 44 minutes of fun listening and I enjoyed every minute of it.
